What is New York Water Taxi?
New York Water Taxi is a private marine transportation company moving people across NYC using a fleet of catamaran vessels. We provide custom chartered transportation for groups, businesses, and special events, with stops throughout Manhattan, Brooklyn, Queens, and Staten Island.

Where can New York Water Taxi pick up and drop off passengers?
Our home port is Pier 83 (West 42nd Street & 12th Ave), and we also operate regularly from Pier 16/South Street Seaport in Lower Manhattan.
Other available docking locations include:

We cannot stop at:

How do I hire a water taxi vessel?
To book a private water taxi, fill out the form on our Contact Page, and a sales representative will contact you.
Do you have a regular NYC Water Taxi schedule?
No, we do not operate a public schedule.
• All rides are private charters for groups of 30+ people.
• Flexible scheduling – With advance notice, we can arrange pick-ups any time, any day.
• No shared rides – Your group will have exclusive use of the boat.

How many passengers can each boat accommodate?
Our vessels can accommodate up to 149 passengers. We’ll help you select the right vessel based on your group size and event needs.
Can I bring food & drinks onboard?
We offer catering options for private charters. Outside food and beverages may be permitted on certain vessels—please ask when booking.
What happens if there’s bad weather?
Many of our vessels are fully enclosed for all-weather operation. In extreme conditions, we’ll work with you to reschedule or adjust your trip.

Yes. Our vessels are available for film productions, TV shoots, commercials, and photography. You can film onboard or use the boat as a mobile backdrop.
